Former Tottenham Hotspur scout Mick Brown has revealed whether he expects Brennan Johnson to still be at Spurs at the end of the January transfer window.
It has been widely reported over the past week that Spurs are increasingly tempted to cash in on Johnson, who has started just six Premier League matches since Frank arrived through the door.
Crystal Palace are thought to be leading the race for Johnson, with Oliver Glasner’s men identifying the 24-year-old as the right fit for their forward line.
However, they are not the only side interested, with four other English sides also allegedly exploring moves for the Spurs winger.

Former Tottenham official weighs in on club’s Brennan Johnson stance
Mick Brown is confident that the Wales international is not in the North London club’s long-term plans.
The former Spurs scout is convinced that the 24-year-old will be sold if a decent offer arrives at Tottenham’s table in January.
When asked what he expects to happen with Johnson, Brown told Football Insider: “I’m expecting him to leave Tottenham in January.
“He isn’t part of the manager’s long-term plans, and if they get an offer that works for them financially, it would make sense to move him on.
“I don’t see what he offers to Tottenham at the moment. I don’t think he’s good enough to make any real impact, and that’s why there are question marks about him.”
Mick Brown sends a warning to clubs interested in Johnson
Some sources indicate that Spurs are willing to sell Johnson for just £35m, despite paying £47.5m to sign him from Forest two and a half years ago.
However, even at that price, Brown is not convinced the winger is a worthwhile investment, questioning if he is good enough to play either as a wide player or a striker.
The former Spurs and Sunderland scout added about Johnson: “If I was one of the teams looking at him, I’d have a few concerns as well, because it hasn’t ever really clicked for him at Tottenham.
“They’ll need to know the reasons behind that, maybe the way they play doesn’t suit him, but even under Postecoglou, he didn’t look majorly impressive.
“I don’t think he’s particularly good on the ball for a winger, and I’m not sure he’s effective enough going forward to be a striker, and I think Tottenham share those concerns.
“But it does seem there is interest in him, so from Spurs’ point of view, I think they’ll want to move him on permanently and make some money from selling him.”
