Former Tottenham striker compares Spurs’ front three to Liverpool’s

Former Tottenham striker Darren Bent has claimed that the front three of Harry Kane, Heung-Min Son, and Gareth Bale is better than Liverpool’s front three.

Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane have formed an incredible partnership upfront for Jurgen Klopp’s side and have arguably been up there with the best forward lines in world football over the past two years.

It is that firepower that enabled the Reds to win both the Champions League and the Premier League in successive seasons.

However, with the return of Bale to North London, some Spurs fans are convinced that the Lilywhites now have a comparable forward line.

With the Welshman expected to be fit to make his home debut against West Ham on Sunday, we might get to see the trio in action together for the first time this weekend.

Bent believes that Spurs’ front three is now better than Liverpool’s on-paper.

Speaking to Sportology TV, the former England striker said: “I really like what Tottenham are doing.

“When you look at that front three now, you start going, on paper, certainly, that’s the best front three in the Premier League.

“People might say that Liverpool have a good one with Salah, Firmino and Mane – but Bale, with his pace and power, Son is superb and Kane.

“If you’re a Spurs fan, you’re looking at that thinking I really like what we’re doing here.”

Spurs Web Opinion

If Gareth Bale is even half as good as he was in his final couple of years during his first spell at Spurs, then there is no doubt that our front three is better than Liverpool’s. We cannot get too carried away until we see the Welshman step out on the pitch, but the early signs are extremely promising.
