Four clubs Tottenham will have to beat to signing £13m Dusan Vlahovic amid contract standoff twist

The race for Dusan Vlahovic’s signature is intensifying amidst the Tottenham target’s improved form for Juventus of late.

It was previously suggested that Spurs can land the Juventus striker for just £13m in January as he enters the final six months of his contract.

The Serbian international has had regular game time at the Allianz Stadium since manager Luciano Spalletti arrived last month, and some sources have suggested that Vlahovic could have a change of heart and stay at Juve.

If the 25-year-old does leave Turin in January, some sources believe that Tottenham are Vlahovic’s most likely destination, but it appears that the competition for the centre-forward’s signature is now growing.

Tottenham battling several Champions League clubs for Dusan Vlahovic

A report in Gazzetta dello Sport has now claimed that the former Fiorentina man’s contract situation is far from being sorted out.

There is still a contract standoff between Vlahovic and Juve, with the Serie A giants willing to offer the striker a new deal only if he agrees to take a pay cut.

The outlet backs up Tottenham’s interest in the Serbian, but it asserts that Thomas Frank’s men face competition from four other European giants for the player.

Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, and Atletico Madrid are also alleged to be keeping close tabs on Vlhavoic’s situation.

Spurs may be forced to wait until next summer to land Vlahovic

Tottenham’s hopes of landing the experienced striker in January received a blow following the latest updates from Italy last week.

A few days ago, it was reported by Tuttosport that Juventus and Vlahovic’s camp have agreed to resume contract talks at the end of the season.

It thus appears that the prospect of Spurs signing Vlahovic in January could be diminishing, particularly given that he is now a mainstay in the side under Spalletti.
