Frank Lampard reveals what treatment Ashley Cole expects from Spurs crowd

Everton boss Frank Lampard has admitted that he expects himself and Ashley Cole to be given a frosty welcome to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Monday evening.

Lampard was asked the question about the trip to north London and whether he was expecting not to be welcomed by the Spurs fans and joked that Ashley Cole claimed that he is braced for even worse treatment.

Cole, who played for both Arsenal and Chelsea during his career is part of Lampard’s Everton backroom staff, having been appointed as first team coach at the beginning of last month.

Lampard said to Hayters when asked if he was expecting a warm welcome: “No, no I don’t. But then speaking to Ashley Cole this morning and he expects worse than me.

“It’s all good fun. I always enjoyed battles with Tottenham as a Chelsea player and a West Ham player before that.”
