As if last night wasn’t good enough, there is more positive news for Spurs fans today, as PSG dismiss reported interest in star man Christian Eriksen.
The Great Dane had been linked with a £100m move to the French capital, with the transfer window open for another few days.
PSG sent an email to AP stating: “categorically denies the transfer rumours regarding a potential transfer of Christian Eriksen to PSG” and that reports “seem to ignore the current reality of the transfer market”.
Eriksen joined Spurs from Ajax for a bargain £11.5m in 2013, and has gone on to become one of the best creative midfielders in the world.
His current contract runs out in 2020, with talks of a new deal having stalled earlier this week.
The 26-year-old has played 173 games for Tottenham, scoring 41 goals and assisting a further 43.
Spurs will want to tie the midfield maestro down to a new contract before the end of the season to avoid him running into his final year.
