There has been a big update on the future of Tottenham target Marcos Senesi as he contemplates his next move ahead of the summer window.

It has been widely reported over the last week that Spurs are eyeing a summer move for Senesi, who is expected to leave Bournemouth when his contract runs out this summer.

According to various sources, Tottenham have already contacted the Cherries centre-back regarding a switch to N17.

The appeal of the 28-year-old is clear for Spurs, given the experience that the Argentine has in the Premier League, particularly at a time when Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven face uncertain futures at Tottenham.

Tottenham may be given ‘concrete updates’ on Marcos Senesi pursuit by Friday

Journalist Mirko Di Natale has now also named Tottenham as one of the clubs in the running to land the Bournemouth defender in the summer.

He claims that Senesi is likely to remain in the Premier League, with Spurs joined in the race by Chelsea, Liverpool, and Man United.

The Italian journalist adds that there could be ‘some concrete updates’ regarding the centre-back’s future by Friday, April 17, as he gets set to decide on his next destination.

Di Natale wrote on X: “Between Thursday 16 and Friday 17 April, there could be some concrete updates on Marcos Senesi. The footballer will likely stay in the Premier League. Chelsea, Liverpool, Man Utd, and Tottenham are the teams in the running.”

Spurs may not have to worry about two rivals in the Sensei race

This is not the first time that Chelsea and Liverpool are credited with an interest in the Cherries star, with CaughtOffside also claiming last week that the Reds and the Blues could challenge Spurs for Senesi.

However, an update from talkSPORT on Monday revealed that Man United are Tottenham’s main competitors for Senesi.

The outlet explained that Liverpool have not made a concrete move for the 28-year-old, while Chelsea are prioritising moves for other centre-backs instead.
