Some Queens Park Rangers supporters have taken to Twitter to disagree with Mark Warburton’s assessment of Luke Amos’ most recent performance.
The Spurs loanee was named in Warburton’s starting eleven for the London derby defeat to Fulham yesterday evening.
QPR took the lead in the opening minute through Jordan Hugill only for Harry Arter to level after 21 minutes of play.
Amos had the opportunity to put his side 2-1 up prior to Cyrus Christie netting the winner for the Cottagers.
The 23-year-old skied his effort over the crossbar after being put in on goal by Bright Osayi-Samuel, who had cut the ball back from the left.
After the match, Warburton was left to rue the midfielder’s miss but instead singled him out for praise over his overall performance (QPR official).
Some fans reacted with some frustration of Warburton’s defence of Amos after their side’s third consecutive defeat which has left them fifteenth in the Championship table.
Luke Amos and Geoff Cameron outstanding? They were probably our two worst players! Guy is beginning to talk rubbish . https://t.co/iw6b8rdGGI

Can someone who watched the game, tell me how he can say Luke Amos was “outstanding”? The game past him by and he missed a sitter. I understand you can’t slaughter him but to say he was outstanding? Really Mark?

Remember 2 games in when we played Hudds at home & I had that mad rant about Luke Amos being shite. 32 games later someone tell me I’m wrong…..

Said it before will say it time and time again. Absolutely HATE Luke Amos. Cannot wait to get him out the club. How Spurs fans rate him & he’s getting bullied in the Champ. Offers nothing.

I’m clearly missing something with Luke Amos… Frighteningly over-rated IMO ??♂️
