An industry insider has revealed what Sebastian Kehl is thinking about joining as Tottenham’s next sporting director.
It has been widely reported over the past few days that Sebastian Kehl has emerged as Tottenham’s top target for the sporting director role ahead of the summer window.
Multiple outlets have claimed that Spurs want Kehl to work together with Johan Lange to rebuild their squad this summer ahead of Roberto De Zerbi’s first season in charge.
Some sources have suggested over recent days that the German director has not made a final decision despite advanced talks with Tottenham.

Keith Wyness expects Sebastian Kehl to reject Tottenham’s approach
Former Everton and Aston Villa CEO Keith Wyness has shared what his sources are saying about the possibility of the former Dortmund director taking over at the North London club.
Wyness revealed that given the current instability on and off the pitch at Spurs, the 46-year-old has no intention of taking the job.
When asked if Kehl could become Tottenham’s next sporting director, the former Everton chief told Football Insider: “He left Borussia Dortmund earlier this year, and they had a decent record there. I did call up one of my German contacts, who said he was more likely to go to Hamburg. With the Spurs situation, walking into that, you’d be thinking twice coming into the Premier League right now.
“Not just in terms of the position in the table and the potential of going into the Championship, but also because of the boardroom situation, the instability, and you’d have to work with Johan Lange.
“That has proven not to work over the last couple of seasons. So I don’t think he’ll be touching it with a barge pole, to be honest, from what I’m hearing, and he may end up at Hamburg.”
Who are the other directors on Spurs’ radar?
Dougie Freedman and Paul Winstanley have also reportedly been considered by Spurs, but it is unclear if either of them is open to moving to N17.
Bournemouth’s president of football operations, Tiago Pinto, has also allegedly been considered for the role by Tottenham.
Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that Dennis te Kloese, who rejected advances from Spurs last summer, will part ways with Feyenoord at the end of this season.
