Fulham target Cudicini

Fulham are reportedly lining up a move for Carlo Cudicni.

Cudicini has only recently recovered from a nasty motorbike accident last year, which saw him fracture both wrists and his pelvis.

He recently made his return in pre-season, but with Heurelho Gomes assured as number one and Spurs still hoping to bring in Croatian stopper Stipe Pletikosa, Cudicini could be relegated to third choice by the time the season kicks off.

With Mark Schwarzer heavily linked with a move to Arsenal, Mark Hughes could offer Cudicini the chance of first-team football in the Premier League.

There is unlikely to be a transfer fee involved, as Cudicini was signed for a nominal fee and has the risk of injury set-backs.

Redknapp may not be as likely to release him as the Daily Mirror has surmised, as the Spurs boss has declared that he wants three top class ‘keepers in his squad.
