Funny thing Mourinho told Spurs squad was wrong with them in first training session

Jose Mourinho has now been in charge of Tottenham Hotspur for around 10 months, although it has been an unprecedented time with COVID-19 and the resulting lockdown.

Nonetheless, the Special One has had time to put his mark on the team both on and off the pitch since his first training session back in November.

After Mourinho took over from the sacked Pochettino, Amazon Prime cameras caught all his witty comments from his first day in charge for the newly-released ‘All or Nothing’ series.

Episode one of the documentary, which was released last night on Amazon Video, showed Mourinho telling his new team that there was something wrong with them.

The Portuguese coach claimed that he had played against the Lilywhites plenty of times during his stints at Chelsea and Man United, yet no one had ever insulted him down the tunnel (All or Nothing: Tottenham Hotspur – Episode 1 – 35mins).

Mourinho said: “But there must be something wrong with this team, because I have played against you so many times and nobody insulted me in the tunnel or nothing, man. You must be too good.”

With Mourinho’s first full season with Spurs now on the horizon, we may see a different no-nonsense and hard-hitting attitude from the ‘good’ boys of North London.
