Despite intense speculation linking Antonio Nusa to Tottenham Hotspur, the youngster has not signed for the club yet. However, journalist Dean Jones claims the deal is being worked on and suggested we can expect this transfer to be completed eventually.
After completing the signing of Timo Werner on loan this month, many would have expected Tottenham to move on to a different position when looking to add to their squad.
However, a report in The Athletic last week revealed the Lilywhites were pursuing Club Brugge winger Antonio Nusa in a €30m (£25.7m) deal, which would see the youngster remain with his current club until the summer.
One for the future, then, it seems, but Spurs are thought to be facing competition from a number of other Premier League clubs, including Newcastle United (Football Insider) and Chelsea (Guardian).
According to Fabrizio Romano (for GiveMeSport), the North London side are ‘pushing’ to make Nusa a Spurs player as quickly as possible, with the wonderkid seen as an important player for the project Ange Postecoglou is building.

Spurs working to tie up Antonio Nusa deal
Now, the latest insight comes from Dean Jones, who told the Ranks FC Podcast a little about Tottenham’s plans to secure the signing of Nusa.
He said: “Talks are still happening with Nusa. He’s an 18-year-old, exciting wide player. Incredible on the ball, it’s ridiculous what he’s capable of. The more I’ve looked into it, the more I can see how he would fit with what Tottenham are trying to do now in terms of building and recruiting for the future.
“They’re trying to tie this up. It was initially supposed to be a deal they would really go for in the summer. There’s a couple like this at the moment, to be honest. There’s Wharton at Blackburn as well, who they’re looking into.
“But Nusa is furthest down the line of actually being brought forward in this window. He won’t actually join until the summer to be fair but I feel like this is just giving us a real sign of what’s to come.”

I love that we are making these kind of moves for young talent, and doing it with efficiency and conviction, too. It shows we mean business not just now, but for the foreseeable future, and that’s very exciting indeed.
