Future Tottenham player Luka Vuskovic secures crucial loan move for first-team football

Luka Vuskovic won’t officially be a Tottenham Hotspur player until 2025, but the 16-year-old has already sealed a loan move that is going to benefit his career, as he leaves Hajduk Split to join Polish side Radomiak Radom until the end of the season.

Tottenham are clearly keeping one eye on the future, and no signing proves that more than the acquisition of Luka Vuskovic. At just 16 years old, the Croatian can’t even join Spurs yet, but the Lilywhites were incredibly keen to tie up this talented youngster.

The highly-rated centre-back has already made his senior debut for Hajduk Split, and attracted interest from across Europe, but it was Spurs who won the race to seal a £8.7m deal (Football Insider).

According to former Hajduk Split manager, Zoran Vulic, Spurs have picked up a player who possesses ‘enormous potential’ and Vuskovic is someone who could be a real leader one day (Sportske Novosti).

Vuskovic ready for first-team football

But, given his young age, the defender has found regular first-team football difficult, so a decision has been made to help his development. As per a report from The Athletic, Vuskovic will now spend the rest of this season on loan at Radomiak Radom.

Vuskovic will now join up with the Polish outfit in Turkey for a mid-season training camp, before getting involved in the first team set up competitively for the rest of the campaign.

It is thought that, once regular football is under his belt this year, Vuskovic will then move out on loan to a “higher level” team either in the Netherlands or in Germany for next season to prepare him for the Premier League.

Spurs Web Opinion

This is a very shrewd move on all sides here. Vuskovic is a top young talent and he needs to be playing as much as possible now to continue his development. Hopefully, he has a successful time in Poland and we will see him take it to the next level in 2025.
