Former Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor has tipped both Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal to finish in the Premier League top four this season.

Tottenham headed into the international break in third place in the table, just a point behind their north London rivals who occupy top spot.

Both sides are set to meet in the first derby clash at the Emirates next weekend with Spurs looking to avenge last season’s 3-1 defeat on their turf under the management of Nuno Espirito Santo.

Spurs have finished above their bitter rivals for five successive seasons, however, Agbonlahor believes that the Gunners will end up above Antonio Conte’s men come the end of the campaign.

The 35-year-old pundit has backed Arsenal to finish in second place behind current champions Manchester City, with Spurs having to settle for a third place finish.

Agbonlahor told talkSPORT: “Top four for me would be first place for Manchester City, second place Arsenal, third place Spurs and fourth place Chelsea.”

Tottenham fans would be pleased if their side qualify for the Champions League once again, however, if Arsenal finish higher it will certainly sour the achievement.

Fabio Paratici and Daniel Levy need to ensure that Conte is backed again in the transfer market in January and in successive windows if Spurs are to be genuine title contenders.
