Clubs are looking to poach Xavi Simons from Tottenham this summer, just a year after the Lilywhites paid £51m to sign the attacking midfielder.
Xavi has not set the world alight in his first season in the Premier League, but the attacking midfielder has shown repeated glimpses of his quality over the last few months.
He now appears to have finally settled in English football, and the 22-year-old’s display in Tottenham’s 2-2 draw against Brighton was arguably his best in a Spurs shirt so far.
Some sources have suggested that Xavi faces an uncertain future at Tottenham, and it has now emerged that a European club are ready to make advances towards the midfielder.

Galatasaray contemplating a loan offer for Tottenham’s Xavi Simons
According to FotoSpor, Galatasaray are prioritising adding a number ten to their squad this summer and have set their sights on the Tottenham man.
While Bernardo Silva is their top target as his contract at Man City runs out this summer, they are also keeping a close eye on Xavi as Spurs stand on the brink of relegation from the Premier League.
The outlet claims that the Turkish club would be willing to make a loan offer for the Netherlands international this summer if the Lilywhites go down.
Loan deals may be beneficial for Tottenham if they do get relegated, as it would give the Lilywhites a chance to hang on to big-name players while they attempt to bounce back up to the Premier League.
The report adds that Barcelona could also look to take advantage of Spurs’ situation and enter the race for the former RB Leipzig man.
Xavi and Roberto De Zerbi have already formed a special connection
Following Tottenham’s 2-2 draw against Brighton, Roberto De Zerbi admitted that he has a special connection with Xavi, as he too was a number 10 during his playing days.
Meanwhile, Xavi has admitted that he particularly enjoys De Zerbi’s focus on possession play and has suggested that he can produce his best in the Italian’s system.
It thus appears that the pair have taken a liking to each other, and one would expect the Italian to fight to keep the Dutchman at the club if Spurs avoid being relegated.
