Whilst it wasn’t a particularly poor performance from the Spurs, we didn’t create enough chances, and it seemed like we missed a certain athletic Colombian defender. The introduction of Rose was highly positive, it gave us the option to attack more down the left-wing - he will only improve with game time. Our decision to move to a 4-2-3-1 was productive and resulted in our only goal. It’s great to have Harry Kane back, his influence off-the-ball was clearly highly missed, and he seemed ever sharp.

Tottenham’s title bid suffered a major blow despite a goal from Harry Kane as Burnley condemned them to a 2-1 defeat at Turf Moor.

Not even Kane’s goalscoring return after six weeks out with an ankle injury could inspire Spurs to a victory which would have moved them to within two points of Manchester City and Liverpool at the top.

It was a disappointing display by Mauricio Pochettino’s side with even the most optimistic of Spurs fans now accepting that our title hopes are a thing of the past.
