Gareth Bale’s agent gives update on possibility of a January move after Spurs links

Tottenham Hotspur have been unable to escape the Gareth Bale rumours ever since he left North London for Real Madrid over six years ago.

2020 is a new decade, but the rules are no different regarding the flying Welshman. Earlier this season, Spurs were linked with a January move for their ex-player.

Daniel Levy was said to be willing to offer Madrid Christian Eriksen and £25.7m for Bale in January (El Desmarque).

Bale played 203 games in the Tottenham colours, scoring 55 goals in that time, with the vast majority coming in his last two seasons at the club, which prompted the Madrid move (Wikipedia).

Since that move, Bale has won four Champions League titles, numerous other trophies, played nearly 250 games and scored over 100 goals for Los Blancos.

However, Jonathan Barnett, Bale’s agent, has now ruled out any January transfer this season, with Gareth under contract until 2022. Not only that, but he also said it was ‘very unlikely’ that Bale would move in the summer either (ESPN).
