Garth Crooks has named Son Heung-min in his Team of the Week, and admitted that despite their inconsistency, Ange Postecoglou’s men are often brilliant to watch.
Spurs have undoubtedly been the entertainers of the Premier League so far this season, with all of their games being extremely watchable for neutrals.
Even though the last few results did not go the way Tottenham fans would have wanted, the team produced some enterprising football in the matches against Chelsea, Aston Villa and West Ham, and it seemed like it was only a matter of time before they handed a team a proper hiding.
Newcastle were the unfortunate victims of that on Sunday as the Lilywhites once again dictated proceedings for the entire game, barring ten minutes at the start of the second half, and put their opponents to the sword.
The likes of Jamie Carragher waxed lyrical about the football that Tottenham produced against the Magpies.

Heung-min Son makes PL Team of the Week
Unsurprisingly, Son, who got two assists and a goal, made it into Crooks’ Team of the Week, with the 65-year-old admitting he loved what he saw from his former side.
He wrote in his BBC Sport column: “Kieran Trippier, who has featured so prominently this season for the Magpies, was taken apart by Son and eventually substituted.
“I don’t think for one second it would have happened under normal circumstances, but this is no ordinary season for Newcastle. Spurs, on the other hand, can be shockingly inconsistent but brilliant when they get it right and against Newcastle they got it spot on.”
Spurs Web Opinion
There was definitely an overreaction from parts of the Spurs fan base about some of our last few results. The reality is that we were quite unlucky in those matches and could have quite easily won all of them had a few things gone our way.
The most pleasing thing about our performance against Newcastle was the fact that the players’ confidence and their belief in our style were completely unaffected despite our poor run of form. That suggests that every single player has fully bought into Ange’s methods.
