Gary Lineker blasts Tottenham on social media following Man Utd defeat

Gary Lineker has taken to Twitter to blast Tottenham Hotspur’s performance against Manchester United.

Ahead of the match, the spotlight was firmly on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer following United’s 5-0 defeat against rivals Liverpool last weekend and after watching his side suffer a 3-0 defeat, there is no doubt in our view that Nuno Espirito Santo is now edging closer to the unemployment queue.

Spurs failed to register a shot on target and once again showed that they were short of ideas in the final third of the pitch while also looking frail defensively with Ben Davies’ poor positioning allowing Cristian Ronaldo to open the scoring with a brilliant finish.

Individual mistakes continue to be the theme for Spurs with Oliver Skipp losing possession for United’s second and Marcus Rashford rounded it off with a late goal.

Lineker, who won the FA Cup with Spurs in 1991 admitted that his former side had been awful with their performance against the Old Trafford outfit.
