The Lilywhites have made history by advancing to the semi-finals of the Champions League for the first time in the club’s 136 years of existence.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men battled Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in what surely was one of the best Champions League encounters ever.
Despite losing 4-3 on the night, the aggregate score of 4-4 saw Spurs advance on away goals.
It was a brilliant team performance with two goals from Heung-min Son and one from Fernando Llorente which led to Tottenham fans celebrating this historic moment.
The tension, nerves and pressure, however, did not depart from the game until the very end.
Raheem Sterling’s late effort ,which found the back of the net, was ruled out as offside and cut Manchester City’s supporters’ celebrations short.
The disbelief was clearly visible on the faces of supporters of both sides. Tottenham fans went from agony to ecstasy, whereas City fans went from ecstasy to agony.
The north London club will face Ajax Amsterdam in the semi-final of the competition.
Former Tottenham player Gary Lineker was watching Spurs’ incredible clash with Pep Guardiola’s men and here’s how the pundit reacted throughout the game.
Blimey, what a start from @ManCity with the brilliant @sterling7 finishing with aplomb.

21 minutes is a record for the fastest 5 goals in a game in Champions League history. Previous record was 24 minutes: Dortmund v Legia Warsaw.
