Gary Lineker reacts to Hugo Lloris’ blunder against Southampton

Tottenham Hotspur were certainly guilty of awarding Southampton with more than one lifeline in North London yesterday afternoon.

Tanguy Ndombele had put the home side ahead on 24 minutes when his left-footed shot found the back of the net.

Just seven minutes later, Serge Aurier was given his marching orders after being shown a second yellow card.

Hugo Lloris, who came back into the side after missing the defeat at Leicester City last weekend following the birth of his son could be mistaken for having a bout of ‘baby brain’.

The Frenchman gifted the Saints an equaliser when trying to dribble past Danny Ings and performed a Cruyff turn in his own six-yard box which spectacularly backfired when the striker dispossessed him and tapped home to level the score.

Former Spurs striker Gary Lineker took to Twitter to react to Lloris’ blunder and followed it up with another to praise the World Cup winner for producing two superb saves in the second half to keep the Saints at bay.
