Gary Neville has admitted that he is starting to come around on one experienced Tottenham star after having some doubts about him.
It is astonishing how quickly narratives can change, given the knee-jerk nature of modern football media.
Ahead of Tottenham’s trip to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, there was no doubt that Thomas Frank was under big pressure, with his team selections being scrutinised.
However, Spurs have moved up to third place in the table with a convincing 3-0 win at Everton, and the narrative has once again shifted.
Even Opta’s Supercomputer has revised its prediction on where Tottenham will finish this season after they became the first side to beat the Toffees at their new stadium.

Gary Neville says one Tottenham star has improved
One man who will know too well about the fickle nature of public opinion is Guglielmo Vicario, who some Spurs fans were calling to be dropped just a few weeks ago.
However, on the back of a few great performances, Vicario is now being called one of the best shot-stoppers in the world by some pundits.
Neville has admitted that he did have his doubts about the Tottenham goalkeeper, but conceded that the 28-year-old is proving to be reliable between the sticks.
The Man United legend said on The Gary Neville podcast about Spurs: “They did things certainly last season they weren’t capable of doing, and that’s being reliable when they’re not playing well.
“Can they withstand pressure? Can they soak up teams putting balls into their box? They did that today. I think they defended really well.
“The goalkeeper looks a lot better. There were times when I wasn’t 100 per cent on him, but I just think there is an element of him looking a lot more solid than he has been.”
Vicario has won over the Spurs fans
The Tottenham number one posted even better numbers against Monaco, and his heroics were the only reason Spurs managed to emerge from that game with a point.
It is clear that the sentiment among Spurs fans over Vicario is shifting, with many giving the Italian his due over the last few days.
Even David Moyes praised Vicario for the way he dealt with Everton’s corner-kicks on Sunday, which was previously highlighted as one of the former Empoli man’s biggest weaknesses.
