Gary Neville has claimed that Manchester United would be more than happy to pay £100m to sign Harry Kane in the summer.
Unless Kane signs a new contract with Tottenham before the summer, the striker will be into the final 12 months of his contract in June (Transfermakrt), with Man Utd emerging as a contender for the 29-year-old’s signature over recent months.
The Telegraph revealed earlier this week that if the England captain does not sign a new contract with Spurs, Daniel Levy will demand a fee of around £100 from the Red Devils for the player in the summer.
The report suggested that Tottenham are still hopeful of tying Kane down to a new contract and their quest to do so could be aided if they win a trophy or finish in the top four this season.
Neville believes that United will not think twice about paying £100m for the Spurs talisman in the summer if he is available.
The pundit said on The Overlap (via MEN): “Is it two years (left on Kane’s contract at Spurs)? He’s not got one [year left, at the end of the season] has he?
“I think if you said to Manchester United right now with the fact that they’ve got no centre forward at all hardly; ‘£100m for Harry Kane?’ they would snap your hands off. If you said to United now £100m for Harry Kane they would snap your hands off.”

I think it is premature to be discussing this at the moment as there is still a lot to play for this season. United would have to finish well above us in the Premier League table for Kane to be convinced that it would be a step up, and that looks far from certain at the moment, with only four points separating the sides in the Premier League table.
