Gary Neville’s Tottenham vs Palace score prediction leaves Arsenal legend shocked

Ian Wright was left quite surprised when Gary Neville predicted that Tottenham would brush Crystal Palace aside tomorrow afternoon.

Spurs delivered what was one of their most disappointing performances of the season against Wolves last time out, with the 2-1 loss at home leaving them with plenty of work to do to reclaim fourth place.

With Tottenham not playing last weekend, Aston Villa have now moved five points clear (although they have played a game more) and Ange Postecoglou’s men thus will look at the clash against Palace as a must-win to claw back some ground.

The Palace side that Tottenham will face is quite different to the one we saw until a couple of weeks ago, with Oliver Glasner replacing Roy Hodgson at the helm.

Gary Neville expects an easy Tottenham win

The Eagles come into the game with some momentum, having turned over Burnley 3-0 in Glasner’s first game in charge but Neville believes that the South London club will not pose many problems to Spurs, much to Wright’s surprise.

When asked to predict the result, the former Man Utd star told Stick to Football Podcast: “I’m going to go 3-0”, with Wright responding with “wow” after hearing Neville.

If Palace can go into half-time level or maybe even in the lead, I can see the atmosphere at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium turning quite sour as fans will get frustrated, especially after some of the team’s recent results. It is thus pivotal that Spurs start on the front foot and get the supporters behind them.
