While Danny Rose has received a lot of love on social media from Spurs fans over recent days, his full-back partner Kieran Trippier has not been as fortunate.

The 28-year-old was at the receiving end of a lot of criticism from Spurs fans for his performances last season, and it looks like many still want him out of the club.

Trippier even admitted himself recently that his performances this season left a lot to be desired (Sky Sports). Serie A giants Juventus and Napoli are both said to be intersted in the England international (The Mirror).

The former Burnley man returned to pre-season training yesterday, with many surprised that he still hasn’t been moved on.

While many Spurs fans want the Lilywhites to let the full-back go, some others leapt to his defence and insisted that they want him to stay.

There was one fan who even suggested that a change of position might help the defender thrive, a suggestion which was immediately shot down by others.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I believe Trippier that needs a new challenge and that a move to the Serie A will do him a lot of good as the style of football in Italy will suit him. Tottenham need to add another pacey right back to their squad who has the energy to get up and down the pitch for the whole game.

  1. I can not understand why Ben Davis is being given a new contract while Danny Rose is up for sale? Rose was clearly one of our best performers in the champions league final despite the problems he has had he gives his all when playing for Tottenham
he is a good player there are plenty of other spurs players who Tottenham should be looking to offload ahead of him very disappointed about this it not like his wage bill is huge either.
