German giants keen to tempt Spurs man away in possible £25m deal

Mauricio Pochettino has helped to transform Tottenham Hotspur’s fortunes on the field over the past few seasons and even guided his side to an unexpected Champions League final.

Whilst the progress under the Argentine has been impressive, this season has been the polar opposite with the North London side currently languishing in fourteenth place in the Premier League table heading into the international break.

Spurs have also been embarrassed in cup competitions, with a shock exit in the Carabao Cup to League Two outfit Colchester United along with a 7-2 thrashing at the hands of Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

The German giants recently parted company with manager Niko Kovac with Hansi Flick now in charge of the side on a caretaker basis.

Football Insider report that Bayern will keep Flick in charge until the end of the season and will make an approach to bring Pochettino to the Bundesliga in the summer.

Pochettino will have three years remaining on his contract at Spurs at the end of the current campaign where he earns around £8.5million per year.

If Bayern were to want to tempt Pochettino away from the Premier League, it would cost in the region of £25million after there was no release clause inserted into the last deal he signed.
