German midfielder Thomas Hitzlsperger trained with Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday.
Hitzlsperger is a free agent after leaving relegated West Ham United during the summer and has been heavily linked with a move to Aston Villa.
The 29-year-old started his professional career at Villa Park after joining from Bayern Munich in 2000.
He moved to Stuttgart in 2005 and stayed there for five years before spending a season in Italy with Lazio.
It remains to be seen if Harry Redknapp is just allowing Hitzlsperger to train with Spurs until he finds a new club – or if Spurs have plans to sign the player.
