Ange Postecoglou was far from impressed by one German journalist in his press conference at the Rajamangala National Stadium in Bangkok.
The Spurs squad travelled to Asia this week after playing a friendly against West Ham United in Perth, with Leicester City being their next pre-season opponents.
However, after Postecoglou and James Maddison took their seats behind the desk to answer questions from the world press, one German journalist took things a little too far.
Harry Kane joke falls flat from German journalist
Football London report that the reporter held up a Bayern Munich shirt with Harry Kane’s name on the back, which didn’t get much of a positive reaction from Postecoglou.
The Spurs boss said: “Did you get a good laugh there? You’ve come a long way for that. Thank you.”
This comes as the rumours linking Kane with a potential move to Bayern rumble on. The German club is expected to make another bid for the England captain once Spurs are home from their pre-season tour (Constantin Eckner).
Spurs Web Opinion:
What a strange thing for a professional reporter to do. It once again points towards a sense of arrogance from Bayern Munich that they seemingly deserve a player like Kane just because they want him, with no regard to Tottenham’s position or contract with the striker. So embarrassing.
