Following two transfer windows of complete inactivity, Spurs fans will be hoping that their club will finally splash the cash this summer.

One place where the club may look to strengthen is in the full-back positions with a report in the Evening Standard claiming that Tottenham are open to selling both Serge Aurier and Kieran Trippier if they can land Crystal Palace’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The 21-year-old has been one of the best full backs in the league this season as he has broken through from the youth set up to a first-team regular.

The defender participated in a Q and A session with his fans on Instagram this week, and one of the questions posed to him was to name the best stadium he has played in, and the Englishman had no hesitation in naming Tottenham’s new stadium.

Wan-Bissaka’s Crystal Palace were Tottenham’s first opponents at the 62,062-capacity stadium at the start of April and were beaten convincingly by the hosts.

It looks like the stadium has made quite an impression on Wan-Bissaka. Some Spurs fans on social media couldn’t contain their excitement at his revelation and urged the club to move for the full back.

Spurs Web’s take:

Wan-Bissaka has proven that he has the energy to get up and down the pitch for the entire 90 minutes, and is just the type of full back who will suit Pochettino’s system perfectly.

While Tottenham can expect stiff competition for the 21-year-old’s signature, the fact that the youngster seems to like the new stadium will certainly not do any harm to the club’s prospects of landing him.

  1. I would be very pleased if he came. I saw Andros in the stand during the Ajax match…..What happened to Zaha, is he on our radar because he will be best investment we would have done in years. Not forgetting Grealish and Sessegnon. If we sell Christian for 125 mill we can easily buy these with a bit more cash. Still want to hold on to Toby though. Yesterday we saw who is the best central defender between Toby and Van Dyke. Levy it all up to you. Give us honours now, because it’s useless having the best football in the land and cannot win anything. I hope and pray that we will pass for the final because that will fill us with confidence and courage and it would be no surprise that we beat Barcelona. COYS.

  2. sure right back has been a problem for us this year and it needs to be addressed but of much greater concern is midfield — sissoko took the game against ajax by the scruff of the neck but he cannot do that all the time and we definitely need 2 midfielders — grealish and herrera of porto would fit the bill if it can be arranged and the latter is out of contract this summer so would not be too costly — when we saw against ajax that mauritio had no alternative forwards to bring on you realise the need to clear the decks of some players and recruit the ones the manager has identified but as ever this is easier said than done –we just wish them well
