‘Get him’ – Some Spurs fans urge club to make move for ex-Liverpool player

Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to social media to share their reaction to a report which claimed that the club are preparing to go head-to-head with North London rivals Arsenal to sign Phillipe Coutinho from Barcelona in January.

According to El Nacional, the Premier League pair could be set for a tug of war for the Brazilian international when the winter transfer window opens at the start of next year.

The Catalan giants currently have financial issues and are keen to offload the 29-year-old before they would have to pay Liverpool a £20m instalment which is due when he makes his 100th appearance, following his £142m exit from Anfield in January 2018.

Barca are said to be prepared to pay half of his £200,000-a-week wages in order to force through a move.

Here is a selection of reaction from some Tottenham fans over the prospect of Coutinho lining up for the white half of North London.
