There have already been so many twists and turns in this Christian Eriksen transfer saga, but the latest claims are that the Great Dane could now sign a new deal at Spurs.
Eriksen came out only last week to say that he is looking for a new challenge and a step up from Tottenham, but would also be happy to stay if no offers came in (Ekstra Bladet).
Real Madrid had been heavily linked with the playmaker through this summer transfer window, and the general thoughts were that he would likely secure a move there in the coming weeks (Independent).
However, since the Spanish giants signed Eden Hazard from Chelsea (BBC), their interest has apparently cooled on Eriksen.
Marca claim that Real are no longer interested in the Spurs playmaker, prompting claims that he could stay in North London on a new deal (AS).
It is unclear how this would affect Pochettino’s transfer budget this summer.
