Tottenham midfielder Victor Wanyama has earned rave reviews from some Kenya fans for his performance for the Harambee Stars as they kickstarted their AFCON qualifying campaign away at Egypt.
The Kenyan captain put in a terrific performance as he helped his side gain a 1-1 draw, an impressive result against the Egyptians, even if they were without their star man in Mohamed Salah.
Wanyama has been frozen out of the first-team picture at Spurs with the likes of Harry Winks, Tanguy Ndombele, Moussa Sissoko, and Eric Dier all seemingly in front of the 28-year-old in the pecking order.
While the former Southampton midfielder was linked heavily with a move away from the club in the summer (Daily Mail), a deal failed to materialize in the end for the Wanyama.
However, on the back of his performance against Egpyt, some Kenya fans thought that the midfielder deserved to get his opportunities for Spurs. Some called on Pochettino to hand him a start to show what he can do.
Victor Wanyama played so well against Egypt. But his detractors won't talk about it. Wanangoja one miss pass in the forthcoming assignments.

Spurs Web Opinion
It doesn’t look like there is any way back into the first team for Wanyama at this moment which really is a massive shame given how well he played during his first season at the club. If he hadn’t had his injury troubles, I believe he would have gone on to become a key player for us in recent seasons.
