Tottenham have had terrible luck with injuries this season with several first-team players missing at different points in the season so far.
Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Moussa Sissoko remain out of action at the moment and Spurs have struggled to pick up results in the trio’s absence.
It looks like the Lilywhites have been struck with a fresh blow today as Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has relayed unconfirmed reports that Ben Davies might have picked up a hamstring injury.
The Welshman returned to action just a few weeks ago after spending three months on the sidelines.
His injury would come as a bitter blow to Jose Mourinho’s side who are extremely short of personal in the middle of a really busy run of fixtures.
Some Spurs fans just couldn’t believe the team’s luck on hearing the rumours that the left-back might face another extended period on the sidelines.
Here’s how some fans reacted to the rumour:
Surely our medical team have to be looked at now. Wtf

If we weren't already in a world of trouble, we are now well and truly in a world of trouble.

Need to really look at the medical team and players at the end of the seasons as these injuries are getting ridiculous now

Spurs fans “Ben Davies is absolutely useless”
Ben Davies has not travelled to Burnley due to injury. Spurs fans “oh ffs” 🙄

Ben Davies doing his hamstring? Spursy.

Hearing Ben Davies has picked up a hamstring injury. At this point we have to ask who isn’t injured rather than who who is. Wouldn’t be surprised if another player got injured today due to fatigue. Knowing our luck, it will be Bergwijn or Lo Celso

Ben Davies is injured again.

Spurs Web Opinion
Let’s hope that there isn’t any truth to this rumour and it is just the case that the defender has been rested for this evening’s clash against Burnley. While Davies has looked a little rusty since his return, that is to be expected given the fact that he spent several months out. I believe he could be a vital piece of the lopsided back 4 that Jose prefers to play.
