Ginola urges Spurs to sign Madrid pair

David Ginola believes Tottenham Hotspur should be doing business with Real Madrid- but not for Harry Kane.

It is being widely reported that Florentino Perez (Real Madrid President) wants to sign a “marquee” forward this summer and Harry Kane could be subject of a mega money bid from the Champions League winners. Kane saved England blushes last night by poking home a late winner at Wembley in their penultimate World Cup qualifier with Slovenia.

Ginola believes Spurs  – currently in the process of building a new stadium – would be tempted if a mega-money offer came in for Kane.

However, instead the Frenchman wants his former employers to show their ambition by keeping hold of the 24-year-old and themselves raiding Real Madrid for Luka Modric and Gareth Bale.

Speaking to Alan Brazil on Talksport breakfast, Ginola said: “Why not think about building a team that in the next five, ten years will be the best in Europe?

“Bring Bale back to Tottenham and keep Harry Kane and bring in a new era for Spurs. I am talking about five, ten years coming, they will be brilliant.

“Modric [as well] would be fantastic. Modric in the middle of the park, Bale on the left hand side, Kane up front, Dele Alli as the number ten – that could be interesting.

“Why not make Tottenham the best team in Europe? This is a gamble and I know it sounds crazy, but would you like to see at the new White Hart Lane 61,000 people watching a great team, challenging for the title every season, challenging for the final of the Champions League every season?”

So what do we make of Ginola’s comments? Would you love to see Bale and Modric back at Spurs, would it ever happen? or was it too early in the morning for Ginola and he was talking cobblers? Let us know your thoughts please.
