Giovani Lo Celso sends message to fans after return from injury

Giovani Lo Celso has revealed his delight at being back in training after recovering from his hamstring injury.

The Argentine has been out of action for over two months since picking up the injury in Tottenham’s 2-0 defeat at home to Leicester City.

Spurs have lacked creativity in several of their recent outings and Jose Mourinho will be hoping that the former Real Betis men can help to solve some of those problems.

The Spurs boss confirmed during his press conference on Friday that Lo Celso is not ready to play matches just yet but admitted that the 24-year-old could play a key role in the coming weeks, with fixtures coming thick and fast for his side.

Lo Celso was seen participating in a small-sided game at Hotspur Way this week, with the midfielder setting up Harry Kane for two goals during the training match.

The Argentine posted a video of his assists on social media, admitting his delight at being back out on the field.

He wrote: “The feeling of being on field again!” along with a raised hands emoji.

Having Lo Celso back will be a big boost and the Argentine will provide the likes of Erik Lamela and Giovani Dele Alli with plenty of competition for the number ten role. It could also potentially allow Mourinho to rest Ndombele for a couple of matches without severely denting the team’s creativity in the middle of the park.
