Giovani Lo Celso has issued a message to Tottenham fans on Twitter after sealing a loan move to Villarreal on deadline day.
Lo Celso secured a switch to the Spanish club until the end of the season after being made available as an outgoing by Tottenham (Evening Standard).
The 25-year-old has struggled to make his mark for the majority of his stint in North London since a big-money move from Real Betis in 2019.
Having slipped out of contention under Antonio Conte, he was placed on the chopping block (The Athletic) before eventually signing with Villarreal.
After being confirmed as one of four exits on deadline day, Lo Celso has finally taken to social media to send his best wishes to Spurs heading into the rest of the campaign while thanking the fans for their support.
He said: “All the best to the team for the rest of the season. Thanks, Spurs fans.”

Hopefully, this short-term move for Lo Celso can give him some form and confidence that he can take back to Tottenham next season. He has had a really tough go at it since joining the club and there is a talented player there, it just needs to be brought out of him.
