Tottenham legend Graham Roberts has claimed that Giovani Lo Celso is going to be an incredible player for Tottenham Hotspur.
Lo Celso joined from Real Betis on a loan deal in the summer with Spurs having the option to make the deal permanent.
He initially failed to make much of an impact on the side and saw his opportunities limited. Even after the arrival of Jose Mourinho, the Argentine was used sparingly.
However, Lo Celso has been getting the nod to start games in recent weeks and he has repaid Mourinho’s faith by putting some terrific displays.
The 23-year-old was arguably Spurs’ best player both in the 2-1 win over Norwich in midweek as well as the 1-1 draw against Southampton in the FA Cup fourth-round tie on Saturday.
Even though the Lilywhites failed to win against the Saints, Lo Celso produced some moments of absolute quality during the game, including a terrific run from deep inside his own half in the build-up to Son’s opener.

Until about a month ago, it looked like Mourinho didn’t fancy Lo Celso much and the club could potentially decide against exercising the option to buy him permanently. However, the 23-year-old has certainly proved many of his critics wrong with his last few displays. Let’s hope he continues this run of form and goes on to establish himself as an important part of our midfield.
