‘Going to be tight’ – Harry Redknapp shares his Man Utd v Spurs prediction

Harry Redknapp has shared his prediction ahead of Tottenham Hotspur’s match against Manchester United this evening.

Victory for Tottenham would see them increase their gap over United to a massive ten points while also looking to keep in touching distance of Arsenal and Manchester City who sit above them.

Redknapp believes that Antonio Conte’s side will come away from Old Trafford with a point to their name with the former Spurs boss questioning whether United have the right personnel to push for a top four finish come the end of the season.

The 75-year-old told talkSPORT’s breakfast show (19/10/22 – 7:50am): “I think you (Ray Parlour) might be right (a draw), it’s a tight one, isn’t it?!”

“Tottenham are in good form. It’s interesting this year. Tottenham are in great form. Arsenal are in great form.

“I do think tonight, I am still not sure about Manchester United. I think they are looking like they are improving. They have had one or two players in. But I still think they are short, whether or not they make the top four, it’s going to be tight for them.

“I wouldn’t want to bet against Tottenham, but if I was forced to pick a result, then I would go for a draw.”

A draw would be a decent result for Tottenham, however, a victory would certainly send a clear message to the rest that Conte’s side are ready to compete for silverware this season.

United away is always a test, Cristiano Ronaldo proved last season that he was the difference between the two sides and despite the fact he is not a firm favourite under Ten Hag, he still remains the biggest threat to the north Londoners this evening.
