Premier League strikers Michail Antonio and Callum Wilson have raved over Tottenham’s stadium, agreeing it is the best football arena in the world.

Spurs moved into the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium partway through 2019 after the club wanted to progress its ambitions beyond old home White Hart Lane.

Not only is football hosted successfully at the 62,850-seater stadium, it has also played host to NFL games as well as Anthony Joshua’s heavyweight bout against Oleksandr Usyk in September.

While it has been built with fans in mind to generate a deafening atmosphere, the £1 billion project has also gained the plaudits of players alike.

West Ham’s Antonio and Newcastle’s Wilson have been left impressed with Spurs’ new home, with the latter suggesting entering the bowl is like he is getting ready for war.

Wilson told The Footballer’s Football Podcast: “If we’re talking of a stadium in terms of facilities and a building, Tottenham has to be the best stadium nowadays.

“The way that they have built that is unreal, it’s a great platform to play football on. You walk in, you feel like a football player and you feel like you’re going to be going to war today within that arena.

“Definitely, in terms of a building that’s up there with one of the best.”

Antonio concurred, adding: “In terms of building I agree with you, Tottenham [have the best stadium]. The way they have done it is unbelievable. Spent loads of money on it and it’s prime and proper, to be fair.”

The stadium has left so many people impressed not just because it looks amazing, but because it was built to enhance the fans’ experience in games.

At points, it doesn’t feel like its purpose has been utilised fully by fans either, but it must still be a great experience to play on a stage like that.
