Heurelho Gomes insists that he is happy with life at Tottenham Hotspur.

The Brazilian international joined from PSV Eindhoven and struggled with form during the first part of last season, which led to the arrival of Carlo Cudicini in the January transfer window.

“I am very happy here and I have no idea what players Tottenham need,” Gomes told the Tottenham Journal. “It’s normal before the season starts that there are a lot of movers, but I think this is no problem for me.

“I think I had a very good second half to last season, but the club decides my future, I don’t decide these things. When Tottenham don’t need me, many clubs want me. They call me all the time but I want to stay here.”

Who should Redknapp start in goal with for the Liverpool game?  Gomes or Cudicini?

  1. Got to be Gomes… I rate Cudicini very highly and admit was shocked at some of the mistakes Gomes made last yeah. but when the team (and most importantly the back 4) was settled from when Harry came in i cant fault Gomes at all. Add to that he makes save that almost all keepers in the world would get no where near, he’s got to start…

  2. he is the best, better than david james, i think he gonna have a greate season at spurs this seaseon, he is 2x as cudicini

  3. Not so sure about Gomes most flat footed keeper I’ve seen at this level and doesn’t appear to have too much going on upstair.
I know he can pull off magnificant saves but fear those errors ain’t gonna disappear particularly if we starting season with two new or makeshift centre-halves.
Hope I’m wrong though but think we have a keeper of the David James school of keeping on our hands.
