Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes has revealed that Julio Baptista has asked him about life at White Hart Lane.

The striker spent a season on loan at Arsenal in 2006/2007 and could be set for another spell in north London.

Gomes said: “Baptista is a very good player. He asked me about Tottenham, ‘how is it there?’ and I told him it is a great club to be at.”

  1. It looks increasingly likely that Eidur won’t be back and if that’s the case the Beast would do the same job Gud did last year. I feel this is a smart decision to bring size, strength and experience to our squad fairly cheaply. In saying that we still need a world class attacker to take us forward

  2. Load of crap they said the exact same thing, word for word, about Giovanni Dos Santos with Baptista.
How is it there? and I told him it is a great club to be at.

  3. As long as he's coming in as cover to the frontline strikers that's ok with me but if he's meant to be one of our frontline strikers then we'll be in trouble because Baptista's not had a great season for ages.

  4. but with respectt to footballing terms here sol was a world class defender (still a faggot tho) and julio is a stokcy pile of shite.

    • Good point – the squad already 'carries' enough midfield baggage in the form of Jenas, Bentley, etc – need to sign better players, not more average players. Can't imagine his wages will be cheap either.

  5. Tis season to me is the best Spurs team for ages because it's been an amazing team effort. Our reserve midfielders are eager to stay and fight for places. What's the big deal abt the Beast? But I'd love to see some of the young German players in the Spurs team tho. Not a single primadonna.
