Good news as Spurs are set to reopen contract talks with star man

Tottenham Hotspur are said to be ready to reopen contract talks with midfield maestro Christian Eriksen.

The Great Dane has under two years remaining on his current deal, and Spurs will be determined to lock him down long-term, or risk his contract running down.

This isn’t just about securing his services for the foreseeable future, but ensuring he doesn’t leave for no money if the day does eventually come.

The Sun report Tottenham will restart negotiations after failing in the summer.

They say summer time talks fizzled out after Eriksen demanded a raise from £70k a week to £160k.

This would give him some kind of parity to captain Hugo Lloris and star man Harry Kane, which I’m sure every fan would agree is fair.

This could be a great boost and a great statement for Tottenham as a club, paving the way for other big players to sign new deals too.
