Fears over the fitness of William Gallas have been eased after he received positive news on his injury scan.
The Spurs defender picked up a hamstring problem in training on Tuesday and there was concern he could be missing for a month. Instead he could be available for Saturday’s visit of West Ham.
A statement on the club’s official website read: “A scan this afternoon (Wednesday) has reported that William Gallas has not suffered a fresh hamstring injury.
“The France defender had pulled up in training yesterday concerned about his hamstring.
“He will now be assessed over the coming days to determine his availability for this weekend’s home Premier League fixture against West Ham United.”
