Former defender Graham Roberts has urged Christian Eriksen and Jan Vertonghen to commit their futures to Tottenham Hotspur.
The former Ajax pair are both in the last few months of their contract in North London and will be able to begin discussions with clubs on the continent from next month when the January transfer window opens ahead of walking away as a free agent’s next summer.
Toby Alderweireld ended speculation about his future at the club when he put pen to paper on a new deal which will keep him with the Champions League finalists until 2023.
Earlier this week, Spurs head coach Jose Mourinho admitted that he wants Eriksen and Vertonghen to mirror Alderweireld’s commitment to the club (Sky Sports).
Roberts took to Twitter to reveal he is in agreement with Mourinho and believes they can create their legacy with Tottenham and helping the club to win silverware will be worthwhile considering how long they have both been within the ranks.
