Former Tottenham Hotspur defender Graham Roberts has labelled Darren Bent an idiot on social media in the wake of yesterday’s victory against West Bromwich Albion.
Bent had earlier last week claimed that Kane is not in his opinion in the top five strikers of the Premier League era and instead insisted that Wayne Rooney was a better candidate in his prime at Manchester United (talkSPORT).
Kane netted his 150th Premier League goal with his 88th minute header against the Baggies which took him closer to Wayne Rooney’s 208 and Alan Shearer’s 260, respectively.
Bent claimed that Kane still has to prove himself for a few more years top before he can be considered in the same sentence as Rooney.
Roberts took to Twitter after the match to question whether Bent has had a chance of heart for Kane to be included in his top five while making it abundantly clear of what he thought of the opinion.
