Graham Roberts predicts the first thing a new head coach will tell Daniel Levy

Former Tottenham Hotspur defender Graham Roberts has claimed that the first thing on the mind of whoever is appointed as the club’s new head coach will be to insist that Harry Kane remains at the club.

The England international has reportedly reiterated his desire to leave North London this summer with Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea all said to have registered their interest with Kane’s representatives (Sky Sports).

Kane is said to have wanted his future resolved before the start of Euro 2020, but with Spurs still seeking a replacement for Jose Mourinho, his situation at the club remains the same.

A number of managers have been linked with the vacant managerial hot seat with Spurs reported to have pulled the plug on talks with Antonio Conte after the club were found to have concerns over some of the Italian’s methods, including a perceived reluctance to play some of the younger players (Sky Sports).

Roberts told FootballFanCast: “Until the manager comes, we don’t know. If you’re Brendan Rodgers, the first thing you’re going to say is, ‘I don’t want Harry Kane to be sold’.”
