Tottenham legend Graham Roberts has revealed on social media that he has met Sergio Reguilon who told him how much he was loving life at the club.
Tottenham’s capture of Reguilon during the summer transfer window was announced on the same day as the capture of Gareth Bale and the Spaniard’s signing was understandably overshadowed by Welsh superstar’s return.
However, there is no doubt that Reguilon has had a much bigger impact on Jose Mourinho’s side in the first few months of the campaign.
The 23-year-old has settled in seamlessly to the life in the Premier League and has quickly established himself as Tottenham’s first-choice at left-back ahead of Ben Davies.
While his pace, ability to overlap and his excellent crossing have received a lot of plaudits, the former Real Madrid full-back’s defensive awareness has also caught the eye during his time at North London so far.
Some Tottenham fans on social media are desperate for him to stay and are hopeful that the Spain international would reject a return to the Spanish capital even if Real Madrid activate his buy-back clause next summer.
According to Roberts, Reguilon is certainly enjoying life at the club with the UEFA Cup winner also revealing that the left-back is enjoying working with Jose Mourinho.
