Graham Roberts sends message to Gareth Bale about his future after hat-trick

Former Tottenham Hotspur defender Graham Roberts has congratulated Gareth Bale on social media following his performance against Sheffield United.

The 31-year-old was recalled to the starting line up by interim boss Ryan Mason for the Premier League encounter at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium yesterday evening.

The Welsh international repaid the faith shown in him by netting an impressive hat-trick against the already relegated Blades.

Roberts took to Twitter to tell the on-loan Real Madrid man that he would love to see him extend his stay in North London for another season to allow the supporters to be able to return to the stadium and have the opportunity to watch him play.

Bale has now scored 14 goals in 30 appearances in all competitions this season for Spurs while also providing three assists (transfermarkt).

The left-footer netted his first goal in the 39th minute and completed his hat-trick in the second half with goals in the 61st and 69th minute.
