Graham Roberts has taken to Twitter to congratulate the Tottenham Hotspur players on their pre-season trophy win.
Spurs beat Bayern Munich 6-5 on penalties at the Allianz Arena after the match had ended as a 2-2 draw.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side booked their place in the final with a 1-0 win against Real Madrid and went 2-0 up against the German giants courtesy of goals from Erik Lamela and Christian Eriksen only for the hosts to rally back and level at 2-2.
The Tottenham penalty takers, apart from Christian Eriksen showed great composure to convert their penalties while Paulo Gazzaniga saved two efforts from the Bundesliga champions to win the pre-season tournament.
Spurs will round off their pre-season with the visit of Inter Milan to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday ahead of the opening Premier League match of the season when Aston Villa are the visitors on Saturday August 10th.
