Graham Roberts singles out Spurs player for praise after 4-0 win

Tottenham Hotspur continued their unbeaten start to life at their new stadium yesterday with a comfortable 4-0 victory against Huddersfield Town.

One player who made a rare start for Mauricio Pochettino’s side was Victor Wanyama. The Kenyan midfielder began the scoring in the 24th minute when he showed great composure to round Huddersfield keeper Ben Hamer to score the first goal at the north side of the stadium in a competitive fixture.

Former Spurs defender Graham Roberts took to Twitter to congratulate Wanyama on his goal and overall performance and sent his wishes to the 27-year-old to finish the season on a high.

Wanyama has been limited to only appear eight times for Tottenham this season due to his long-standing knee issues which have plagued him over the past couple of seasons.

The former Southampton player was a formidable force in his first season at White Hart Lane and will be hoping to finally get his career back on track.
