Graham Roberts took to Twitter yesterday evening to single out two Tottenham Hotspur players out for special praise following the 4-1 win against Wolfsberger.
Spurs were relatively comfortable winners with Son Heung-min and Gareth Bale doing most of the damage in the first-half.
However, Jose Mourinho’s men gave away a penalty just before the hour mark when Moussa Sissoko foolishly brought down an opponent from which Liendl scored from the spot.
Roberts praised the efforts of Gareth Bale and Dele Alli following the final whistle, claiming that both players had performed well and looked sharp.
The pair started the match with Bale providing the assist for Heung-min Son’s opener before adding a second himself following an impressive turn to create room for his shot.
Dele looked lively on the ball, showing his ability to link up with the forward players and will feel unlucky not to have found himself on the scoresheet.
Both players will now be hoping that they are once again involved for Sunday’s trip to West Ham United in the Premier League.
